Event Specialist
OPAV is seeking enthusiastic individuals who are interested in working AV in events all over the US. Ideal candidates must have general experience in Audio, Video, and Lighting. Key components of this role are outstanding customer service skills, an ability to work individually, and a desire for weekly travel.

Job Description:
The Flat Rate Traveling Technician’s main duties consist of loading in/setting up, running audio-visual during the show, and performing and inventory check and report on each weekly event. This position interacts with the client to ensure that all needs are being met during the show, therefore, great customer service presence is required.

Onsite Training:
  • Flat Rate Traveling Technicians receive onsite training for approximate two weeks before being sent onsite in the solo position
  • Ongoing training occur throughout the year for new equipment and updated technology.
  • Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Communicate with Account Manager during weekly check ins and on show site
    • Maintain efficiency and reliability during weekly travel/flights
    • Load in equipment for events while ensuring that the company’s standards are being met
    • Setup and troubleshoot gear on show site
    • Serve as a technician within the show, successfully operating audio, video, and lighting equipment
    • Load out gear at the conclusion of the event. . This includes proper handling and storage of the equipment.
    • Report any inventory issues and concerns
    • Ensure that the client is satisfied with the service being provided and that OPAV has been well represented at each event
    Requirements:
    • 1+ years in the AV industry
    • Basic knowledge of audio, video, and lighting equipment
    • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience preferred
    • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency

    Project Manager

    OPAV is looking for a Project Manager to facilitate show needs while achieving customer satisfaction through all parts of the engagement and production management process.

    Job Description:
    The Project Manager’s main responsibilities are to act as the production manager per show and aid in the varied responsibilities of each account. Project Managers are the main source of support to an Account Manager during pre-planning stages in regards to technical expertise and also act as the liaison between the company and client once the file has been turned over for project management.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Review and assist Account Manager with gear specifics during sales and confirmation process
    • Review and understand full scope of production and show elements
    • Coordinate and communicate client needs onsite
    • Lead show site crew and maintain quality and consistency of deliverables
    • Display and apply understanding of costs associated with cross rental sales such as logistics and set up
    • Report to Account Manager during show process
    • Assist with post show reporting procedures
    Requirements:
    • In-depth knowledge of audiovisual equipment, application, and show production
    • BS/BA in associate field or 3+ years experience in the AV/Production industry
    • 2+ years of sales experience in related field
    • Ability to read and decipher financial reports and records
    • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience preferred
    • Technical knowledge and proficiency in company wide platforms such as: Flex Rental Solutions, Vivien, VectorWork, Microsoft Office, and Google G-Suite

    Position Overview
    Grow overall AV revenue and profit, while achieving customer satisfaction from pre-production through post-event phases of service. Solicit new and repeat business through a proactive account management approach that incorporates consultative selling skills. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key personnel and clients to enhance the overall business relationships.

    Key Job Responsibilities
    Solicit and secure business for OPAV through a proactive, consultative account management approach and utilize OPAV’s sales process and sales standards. Obtain definite bookings from the venue, assign opportunities, proactively contact customers, and create professional bids and proposals by actively using OPAV resources and marketing collateral. Utilize an understanding of costs associated with sales, including labor, commission and equipment outsourcing and work within established profitability guidelines.

    Required Skills
    BS/BA or 3+ years of equivalent experience required 2+ years sales required
    Prior account management experience in audiovisual, technology, event, or hospitality experience preferred
    Knowledge of sales process required in addition to the ability to read and decipher financial reports and records
    Minimum of 1 year of supervision or leadership experience preferred
    Technical aptitude, computer proficiency and ERP knowledge preferred. We utilize software such as:
    Flex Rental Solutions, Vivien, VectorWorks, Microsoft Office, and Google G-Suite across our sales staff
    Superior communication and presentation skills

    Optional Experience:
    Account Manager, Senior Account Manager or Sales Manager with 2-3 years experience

    We are seeking an Accounting Assistant who is knowledgeable in basic accounting practices, enjoys working with numbers and processes, and can adapt in a fast paced environment.

    Job Description:
    The Accounting Assistants main duties are aiding in the support of accounting processes by direction of the Accounting Manager, gather and organize data for reporting procedures, and assist with general accounting tasks.
